The Downtown Oasis hostel in Budapest can be found in the very heart of this historic city. This is not your usual type of hostel that you may be used to staying in either as this takes the concept of the hostel to a completely new level and is an establishment that you will want to stay at time and time again.

If you are looking for a place to stay that is buzzing and full of life with a huge number of people around you all of the time, then keep on walking as this is not the place for you. However, if it is something quaint and calming that you seek, then you have found your destination.

This hostel is not even that large with less than 10 rooms and there is also no 24 hour reception, but that is not a bad thing as it does mean that there is a real feeling of so much freedom and the ability to explore the city at your own free will. Also, the building itself is rather grand and if possible do try to get a room on level three as it looks onto a gorgeous courtyard and you will be amazed at how peaceful everything appears to be.

If you plan on staying here, then you may be lucky enough to have your own private bathroom that is ensuite and that single factor means that this hostel stands out from the rest. Yes, you can mingle with the other guests, but at the same time you are still afforded your own privacy in your very own room which is also not exactly cramped either.

The hostel is also kept spotlessly clean with staff making sure of this on a daily basis. Also, you can expect free tea, coffee, and towels which are just a nice added bonus considering what you usually get in other hostels around the world. Yes, you may very well be paying a bit extra for the honor of staying there, but considering the superb facilities it is not going to push your budget to such an extent that you could ever deem it to be too expensive for what is available.

Finally, there is the fact that it is perfectly situated for all of the main sights and sounds of Budapest and the only downside is that you will be spending so much time out in the city that you will only be using this amazing hostel for somewhere to rest your head in the evening.
